Contact

The fastest way to reach me is email. I read everything and reply to anything substantive, usually within a few days.

If you are writing about a position, a sentence on the system you work in and what you would want me to take on is more useful to me than a formal cover note.

Research positions

Research scientist, senior postdoctoral or group leader track roles in Europe, the UK, North America, Australia and New Zealand. Groups working on crop protection, plant microbiome, agricultural nanomaterials or postharvest pathology are the closest fit.

Collaboration

I am glad to contribute nanoparticle synthesis and characterisation, or the omics side of a pathosystem, to projects where those are the missing piece. Cross-institution work on mycotoxin management and biocontrol formulation is of particular interest.

Peer review

Available to review for journals in plant pathology, nanoscience, microbiology and postharvest biology. Editors are welcome to add me to their reviewer database.

Students

Happy to talk with students considering work at the intersection of plant pathology and nanobiotechnology, including how to build a project that produces publishable mechanism rather than only efficacy data.
